Cable warranty terms
These terms explain the advertised warranty for eligible Geften cable products. Keep the original invoice and product identification throughout the coverage period.
Meaning of lifetime
Where a Geften cable is described as carrying a lifetime warranty, the maximum coverage period is 25 years from the eligible purchase date. It is not an unlimited or transferable warranty.
What is covered
Subject to inspection and these terms, coverage applies to manufacturing defects affecting the conductor, insulation or material integrity of the eligible Geften cable.
Eligibility
The product must be genuine, bought from an authorised source, appropriate for the circuit and installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable standards. The original invoice, product identification and batch details may be required.
What is not covered
The warranty does not cover incorrect cable selection, overloading, improper installation or termination, physical damage, fire or external heat, water or chemical exposure outside the product rating, rodents, misuse, alteration, normal wear, or damage caused by connected equipment or supply conditions.
Making a claim
Contact Geften support with the registration or invoice details, product identification, installation information, photographs and a description of the issue. Geften may require inspection or a sample before deciding the claim.
Remedy
For an accepted claim, Geften may repair, replace or provide an equivalent remedy for the affected product at its discretion. Removal, reinstallation, labour, finishing and consequential costs are not covered unless required by applicable law.
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer law, disputes are subject to the courts of Kerala.
